(top left) Kristin Bailey aka Simply Krissy is a Jamaican relaxed hair enthusiast living in the states. She started relaxing her hair when she began college in Fall of 2011 and has been relaxed ever since. Since then her hair has gone through many stages of experimentation with hair cuts, highlights and coloring. She became Simply Krissy when she decided to document her healthy relaxed hair journey through her YouTube and Instagram platforms where she shares what she has learned about relaxed hair with others within the community. @Simplykrissy_

The purpose of Sister’s Diary was to start a conversation and talk about why black women can’t seem to come together and support one another regardless of our hair preferences. All the ladies who participated are apart of the change and I hope we can continue to move the needle on this topic!
